When I was young in the faith I was challenged to have an eternal perspective. To see everything in my life in light of eternity because when I live in the reality that my sins are forgiven and I’m going to heaven how can I be angry at my brother? How can I act in ways that are unloving to my brother? Why would I not do anything I can to love and support my brother? To help my brother? Even my sufferings are seen differently in light of eternity because the fruit of God’s love that is revealed in my life far outweighs the challenges that I’ve faced. In fact, if it wasn’t for those challenges, I would not have had the opportunity to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus. Consider what you’re facing today and look at it in light of eternity. Be Eternal Minded.

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.Romans 8:18 NKJV
