How do you rate your relationship with Jesus?  Don’t act like you don’t.  We all do.  Most of us rate our relationship with Jesus based on what we do.  Were you in the Word today?  Are you in fellowship?  Are you spending time in prayer?  Are you nice to the guy holding up the exercise machine because he’s too busy talking?  Are you experiencing victory over sin?  Most of these measurements come from well meaning teachers who want us to grow in our faith, but unknowingly put us under the law.  But Jesus measures things differently.  He is watching to see if living water is flowing from our heart.  Does the Holy Spirit have freedom to move in and through our lives?  Are we generous with the love of God?  Are we generous with the forgiveness we’ve received?  Or are we hard hearted, legalistic, judgmental and condemning?  Those things stop the flow of living water from our hearts.  When we are generous with what God has entrusted to us, when we are gracious with our words, when we are ready and obedient to the Holy Spirit… these things keep the flow from being blocked or quenched.  Today will you allow the river of living water flow from  your heart?  Jesus is Alive!

He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
