Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

Kids love to imitate things they love. They love to imitate mom and dad. They love to imitate each other. For them it’s fun and exciting. That’s how we are to follow Jesus. We are to imitate Jesus in how we act, what we say, how we love. It’s to be fun and exciting, not dull and boring. If following Jesus has become dull and boring, may I suggest that maybe you’re not following Jesus. Maybe it’s time to re-evaluate and rediscover the joy and wonder of knowing Jesus.
