Wait a second… have you heard that Jesus wasn’t born in December? It’s interesting the way we get attached to certain ideas without understanding their significance or legitimacy. This doesn’t mean we shouldn’t celebrate His birth at Christmas, but it’s important to understand the context to which He was born and the way it fulfilled prophecy and met the requirements of the Law. His birth required exact timing and orchestration by God to happen in just the right time and place.

We often take the Bible in as one continuous, sequential narrative, unaware of the hundreds of years that often spanned between books and even passages. Jesus’ birth, life, death, and resurrection were all prophesied hundreds of years before they happened.
