The Gospel story is a love story. God so loved us that He, himself, came down from heaven to save us. He didn’t leave it up to someone else, or send a messenger, or give us a pat on the back and say, “Welp, sorry I can’t help.” No! As Pastor Holland reminds you today, Jesus came down fully God and fully man, lived a perfect life, and became the sacrificial lamb on the cross for you. And that’s what the Christmas story is all about. Jesus, even as a baby, was the victory we were waiting for.
