We are sinners from day one. This has been true since the beginning of time. We seek self-indulgence and desire power and autonomy. We can’t resist this way of living without the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. In today’s message, Pastor Holland furthers this idea by saying that, in fact, the carnal mind is hostile towards God. We want nothing to do with Him, and the purpose of this life is to please ourselves. But that kind of life is void of meaning. Only God can change you from the inside out.
