Pastor Chuck would often say what you have to strive to attain, you have to strive to maintain. Whatever you gain by self effort, you will have to sustain by self-effort. However, God wants you to enjoy His favor. Favor is wherever there is maximum impact with little effort. Under God’s economy, He is the One who sustains blessing in our lives. He is the One who brings opportunities and resources to us for the purpose of glorifying Himself through us. There is no loss with God. There is only abundance. You might say, I’m not experiencing abundance in my life and I would say look again. Instead of looking at what you lack, look at what God has given. You can start with the very breath that you breathe, the very beat of your heart. You can continue with your future in heaven. You can continue with His Presence that lives inside you. His Holy Spirit that is upon you. Just in those few things you are richer than the richest man by earthly standards. I would encourage you this day to thank the Lord for every blessing that you have in Christ. Stop looking at what you wish you had. Stop looking at what your neighbor has and thank the Lord for what He has given you and watch God bless you even more.
